Women In Media Development (WIMDeV) is a non-profit, non-governmental feminist media organization dedicated to empowering women and girls in media to achieve gender equality and eliminate discrimination. Founded in November 2021 by media women activists and officially registered in April 2022, WIMDeV focuses on advocating for women’s voices in media and addressing gender concerns. The organization works on feminist principles to create a just society, contributing to social inclusion, legislative reforms, and increased recognition of women’s rights. WIMDeV’s efforts have led to greater state recognition of women’s rights and the need for more female representation in media and politics.
